ViewWhoopi Goldberg applauded Donald Trump after he called him “dirty, dirty, disgusting” at his latest Pennsylvania rally.
On Thursday's (Oct. 10) episode of the ABC talk show, Goldberg, 68, and her co-hosts skillfully fired back at the former president's verbal attacks.
“So we went to Christina Aguilera's 'Dirty' because that's a word that you-know-who used specifically when talking about me,” Goldberg told the studio audience at the top of the hour.
But he was speaking to us in his assembly. And he spent two separate rallies talking about Tuesday's interview with Vice President Kamala Harris,” he added, before showing a clip of Trump's recent rally, where he called the hosts “dumb” and claimed Goldberg once had a crush on him before he got into politics. . .
“Politics can do strange things to confused people,” he told the rally. “Now, I hired Whoopi to work for me as a comedian, before this thing—a long time ago—and I went, and I'm not particularly ashamed of what I hear; his face is so dirty, he's so dirty, dirty , disgusting, half the place was left. I said I would never hire him again.”
“I was dirty, and stood by that fact,” Goldberg proudly said to applause from the audience.
“I've always been dirty, and you knew it when you hired me,” she replied. “I headed, baby, to your casino, which I could have continued to play if you hadn't run it into the ground. how dumb are you You hired me four times.
“You hired me four times, and you don't know what you're getting?” She added “How dumb you?”
Host Sunny Hostin jumped in to add a “personal legal note.”
Speaking directly to Trump, she thanked him “for telling so many lies, and so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis, you help us do our job and I'm very grateful.”
“Because of people like you, a former prosecutor and legal expert can be a fixture on a show like this and I'm grateful again. I admit, I may not have spent as much time in the courtroom as you have,” he laughs, referring to his string of cases and legal troubles over the years.
“I was also recognized with a special achievement by the Department of Justice. Remember the Department of Justice? This is the company that has been following you for decades. And like Madam Vice President Kamala Harris, I have a history of prosecuting sex offenders, so thank you for keeping people like us in business,” he said.
“And as for dumb questions, you're always welcome to come up here and answer some, if sitting so close to a prosecutor doesn't make you nervous. I'll even give you one for free see Mugs, not to be confused with mugshots.”
