Treasury yields are slightly higher as investors await inflation data

US Treasury yields were mixed on Thursday as investors digested meeting minutes from the Federal Reserve and awaited new inflation data.

D 10-year Treasury The yield was almost a basis point higher at 4.072%, while 2 year treasury was virtually flat at 4.013%.

Yields move inversely to prices. One basis point equals 0.01%.

Yields rose on Wednesday as the Federal Reserve hinted at some division over the size of rate cuts since its last meeting.

The 10-year Treasury yield has been climbing steadily in recent days, jumping to 4% on Monday after strong labor market readings last week and after the Fed cut.

In recent days, it reached its highest level in more than two months.

Investors looked to fresh consumer price index data on Thursday morning to get a handle on the current course of inflation.
