Taylor Swift To Release 'Earth' Edition Of 'Tortured Poets' On Vinyl And CD For Black Friday, Plus An Eras Tour Book

It's starting to look a lot like Swift-month: The holiday season has some big Taylor Swift releases — the first-ever CD/vinyl edition of “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” and a memorable book era tour. The products will be released exclusively at Target stores on Black Friday, the singer announced Tuesday.

The extended “Anthology” version of his latest album will finally be released in both physical formats, the 31-song collection includes four acoustic bonus tracks previously only available as a digital release, now adding 35 tracks in total. The vinyl release consists of four marbled, translucent LPs, accompanied by a 12-by-12-inch poster. The quadruple-LP set will retail for $59.99 and the CD version for $17.99.

Meanwhile, “Taylor Swift | The Era's Tour Book” is a 256-page volume that promises to include more than 500 images, including performance photos of each segment of the three-hour-plus show, rehearsals and instruments, costumes, set pieces and designer sketches, plus Swift's Personal reflections and notes. It retails for $39.99.

“The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” was previously released as a digital download and stream just two hours after the standard edition in April, but the LP and CD were only available for the standard 16-track edition.

Swift said in a social media message that information on an international release for the products is coming soon.

The products will be available for sale online on the retailer's webstore and app one day before the November 29 book, CD and vinyl release in Target's North American stores.

The four acoustic tracks being added to the “Earth” release were not included in the announcement. Swift has already released several acoustic takes on a limited-edition, digital-only version of the standard “Tortured Poets” album.

Releasing the “Earth” version of “The Tortured Poet” in physical format is sure to make a big impact chart-wise. To date, the release (with the standard and deluxe editions all counted together) has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for 15 weeks, a personal best for Swift and accomplished by only a handful of artists in Billboard history. It will almost certainly regain the top spot for at least a week after the CD and vinyl “Anthology” release, and maybe more, barring any unexpectedly strong competition for a surprise release in the same time frame.

Swift is returning to the North American stage soon for the final leg of her nearly two-year era tour, the most commercially successful in history. He plays again for nine dates in the U.S., starting this weekend with a three-night stand in Miami, and then nine shows in Canada, wrapping things up in Vancouver Dec. 6-8.
