Taylor Swift isn't the reason Travis Kelce got the acting gig, Cinqua Walls says

Travis KelceHis acting career took off this past year, but that wasn't a direct result of his relationship with her Taylor Swift …so says “Friday Night Lights.” the actor Cinqua Wall, who says TMZ Sports He's getting the gig because he's a natural talent — but being a 3-time NFL Super Bowl Champ doesn't hurt either!!

The 39-year-old actor — also known for his lead role in “White Men Can't Jump.” Remake — broke it for us this week… Moments later he drives by a billboard for “Grotescarrie,” a new horror TV series from Kells.

“I think what we've seen over the last couple of years with Travis is that he has a natural, innate charisma and personality,” Wells said.

“I think if you as an actor can translate that into your role — if you can try and channel it, that's good.”

So, Wales isn't letting Kells' superstar girlfriend get the credit. Of course, many fans and many Swifties believe that the “Fortnite” singer has enhanced her career off the field.

“Nah, he's a champion,” Walls said of Taylor's supposed influence on Kells' Hollywood career.

“The man who has won so many championships with him over the last few years and [Patrick] Mahomes. Growing up together, they both built a big profile. I think with that comes more exposure and more opportunities, which it should.”

Kells' entertainment career took off again in 2016 when she starred in her own dating reality show, “Catching Kells.”” He also appeared on “Moonbase 8” in 2020 and hosted “Saturday Night Live” in early 2023.

All this before he hooked up with Swift.

“Like I said, it's not impossible for an athlete to become a good actor,” Wall said.
