Rhodes and Reigns work well together and are the best takeaways from WWE Bad Blood 2024 results
Reigns and Rhodes try to put their rivalry aside to take on their mutual enemies, Sequoia and Fatu, in Saturday's Bad Blood main event.
American Nightmare was played in the ring by a marching band and dancers from his hometown of Atlanta, but there was a minor problem with his quote being played twice at the beginning of his entrance music. Raines had an entirely different orchestra for his entry.
The big question going into this fight was: “Can Rhodes and Reigns compromise enough to defeat a unified duo as dangerous as Sequoia and Fatu?”
There were many poses in an attempt to add some drama to the situation. In the first half, there were long breaks in the action so they could sell and play a bit.
Rhodes and Reigns never came across as best friends. They did a good job of selling their excitement while still appearing to be temporarily united.
Bitter rivals don't always work well together, but The OTC and The American Nightmare have done well by promising to look out for each other. When it seemed like the odds were too much, Jimmy Uso returned and helped distract Sequoia so Reigns could help him get the win.
We even saw Jimmy and Reigns save Rhodes from a post-match beatdown. With Jey holding the IC title and Jimmy officially returning to the fold, we may soon see a reformation of the original bloodline.
Reigns and Rhodes were able to work together, Jimmy returned, and the main event was a fun ride, but it wasn't over. The Rock returns and hints at plans to go after Reigns, Rhodes or both.
If not again in 2024, Reigns and Rhodes will fight for the title again. It could even be a WrestleMania main event three years in a row.
