Report: Davante Adams wants to go to Jets, open to other teams
It wasn't long after quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined the Jets in 2023 that chatter started about Davante Adams joining him on the AFC East club, and it hasn't gone away yet.
This week, it got louder. Adams requested a trade away from the Raiders, and the Jets were quickly identified as a potential landing spot for the disgruntled wideout.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Reports That's a reunion Receiver's choice between Adams and Rogers. Although Adams wants to join the Jets, he's not taking the same approach to getting there that his former Packers teammate did before his own business.
While Rodgers was all set to go to the Jets, Adams was open to landing with other teams and the Raiders aren't focused on the Jets as the only possible destination. According to reports, the Raiders will make the best available deal for their organization and they aren't close to pulling the trigger on anything right now.
As a result, a trade may not happen until next week, and there seems to be a lot that could happen sooner rather than later.
