Allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering against DD
After Combs was arrested on a sealed indictment, the indictment was unsealed on September 17.
The 54-year-old was charged with conspiracy; force, fraud or forced sex trafficking; transportation to engage in prostitution, according to court documents obtained by NBC News.
The complaint alleges that Combs “abused, threatened and coerced women around him to satisfy his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his behavior” for more than a decade, with prosecutors saying the alleged behavior began around 2008.
“To do this,” the document states, “Coombs relied on the employees, resources and influence of the multifaceted business empire that he managed and controlled — creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in and attempted to engage in , among others. Crimes include, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”
Combs pleaded not guilty and was denied bail, according to NBC News.
“He's going to fight this with all his strength and all his strength,” his attorney Mark Agnifilo “And the full confidence of his lawyers,” he told reporters outside court before the sentencing.
