Prince Harry is expected to receive an $8.5 million salary on his birthday – but it seems not everyone is celebrating.

The UK Mirror previously reported that the Duke of Sussex, who turns 40 on Sunday, will receive a large cash windfall from his late grandmother's estate. The outlet reported that the amount is higher than what Prince William received at age 40 because the Prince of Wales is heir to the British throne.

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard claimed to Fox News Digital that the huge inheritance will likely make 42-year-old William “unhappy” after all the talk his younger brother has rocked the monarchy.

“[He feels] Harry was unsupportive, hateful and hurtful towards the royal family,” Chard claimed. “Prince Harry, by contrast, will be delighted to have won the top prize as he has always felt inadequate to Prince William.”

“King Charles will be greatly relieved that Prince Harry will now be financially comfortable for a while and won't feel the need to write more memoirs attacking the royal family,” Chard insisted.

“I don't think King Charles will be too keen to talk to his son because of Prince Harry's ongoing battle against the UK government over taxpayer-funded security. Harry is desperate for his father's help to secure the security he wants.”

“The King” author Christopher Anderson previously explained to Fox News Digital that the Queen Mother left two-thirds of her estimated $120 million fortune in a trust fund for her grandchildren.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that William is “not happy” about paying for Harry's birthday.

“”Prince William is reportedly not happy that Prince Harry will inherit $8.5 million from his great-grandfather, the Queen Mother's estate,” Fordwich claimed. “It's not so much that he resents the money in any way. But the Queen Mother cannot imagine what Prince Harry has done to the family.”

“He hated Wallis Simpson for the loss of the monarchy and their whole family in the abdication crisis,” Fordwich says, referring to the American divorcee who persuaded Queen Elizabeth II's uncle, Edward, Duke of Windsor, to abdicate the throne.

When Edward abdicated, his brother George VI was crowned king. His daughter, then Princess Elizabeth, was next in line to the throne.

Edward and Wallis were separated from the monarchy and struggled financially. Both of them went on to write memoirs as a source of income.

But not everyone feels the same way as William, Fordwich noted.

“Yes [thought]… that such a single penny could help fill Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's need to sell more royal stories,” he claimed.

Chard said the succession would give the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “a breather” as they continue their lives in America.

“It will be a very happy 40th birthday for Prince Harry, who will be thrilled to have [his] Legacy…” Chard said. “The royal family, along with the public, hope that the Sussexes will continue their lives without further loss and upset.”

“For now and with renewed vigour, King Charles and Prince William want to focus on the things they think are most important now,” he added.

Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital that he believes the 75-year-old monarch should take the first step in peace talks with Harry. According to reports, Raja has stopped answering his son's phone calls.

“In my personal opinion, this milestone should force King Charles to step up and become Britain's emperor,” Turner said. “At this point, it is a travesty that the values that Harry and Meghan can bring to Britain have not been put to good use. The legacy is a sad reminder that his great-grandfather… saw the best in him.”

Andersen previously told Fox News Digital that there's a good reason Trust doesn't start until the big 4-0.

“Of course, the princes great-grandmother couldn't have foreseen all the trouble Harry was causing the rest of the family. I think she would have cut him off. [the trust] He totally knew.”

In July, the Duchy of Cornwall published its consolidated annual report for the 2023-2024 financial year, marking William's first full year as Duke of Cornwall.

The heir to the British throne inherits property and titles from his father. When Charles ascended the throne the succession passed to William.

William received just over $30 million in his first full year's income from the Duchy of Cornwall estate.

William does not receive a traditional income as a working member of the royal family, People magazine previously reported. According to the outlet, her annual expenses are largely covered by the Duchy of Cornwall, which was established by King Edward III in 1337 to provide funds for the heir.

The outlet reported that the estate, worth more than $1 billion, spans 130,000 acres across 23 counties in England and Wales. It includes land, farms, houses and other assets to support the heir and the heir's family. It is understood that William pays income tax on his entire income after deducting household expenses. They are not specified.

In his 2023 memoir “Spare,” Harry claimed that the British media treated him and his wife as villains compared to the virtuous William and his wife Kate Middleton. Harry also accused palace officials of lying to protect his older brother.

The Sussexes cited racist media treatment of Meghan, who is ethnic, and a lack of support from the palace as reasons for her decision to step down from royal duties in 2020 and move to the United States.
