Bantamweight up and comer Farid Basharat Victor took a chance by agreeing to fight Hugo at featherweight, but the gamble paid off, as Basharat won a three-round unanimous decision to remain undefeated.

Basharat scores were 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28, now 13-0. Hugo falls to 25-5.

Hugo aggressively went after Basharat in the opening round, landing a hard elbow and attempting a pair of leg locks. But Basharat's submission was firm, and his movement on foot gave the Brazilian cause.
