Passengers intervened on the flight when the man assaulted the woman next to him, the video shows
Several passengers intervened on an American Airlines flight this week after a man allegedly assaulted a woman sitting next to him, video taken by another passenger shows.
The incident happened Wednesday on a flight from Miami to Charlotte, North Carolina.
“This evening, a violent incident occurred on my @AmericanAir flight AA 310 from Miami to Charlotte,” said another passenger, journalist Arjun Singh, who took the video posted on social media. “Several men jump to subdue another in first class, who fights with the woman next to him. The flight landed 26 minutes ago, but we're not getting off any time soon.”

“Don't touch him! Get your hands off him now!” A passenger can be heard telling the man in the video.
“You touch him again, you are going to be arrested” – he added.
Flight attendants soon arrived, and the woman said she was fine, but agreed to move to a seat across the aisle from her alleged attacker.

After the woman moved away, he told the man accused of assaulting her: “You weren't assaulted. I put my hand over your face to shut you up. I didn't slap you. I put my hand over your face.”
A few minutes later, after the flight had landed, an officer arrived and asked the passengers if any of them had seen him assaulted. He began taking statements from those who said they witnessed the attack.
According to the New York Post, the alleged aggressor and the woman were removed from the plane.
It's unclear what the man and woman's relationship is or whether the man was arrested.
Fox News Digital has reached out to American Airlines and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for comment.
“Two customers traveling together on American Airlines Flight 310, from Miami (MIA) to Charlotte (CLT) were involved in a service dispute on October 2.” American Airlines told the Post this information.
“Local law enforcement responded and CLT escorted customers from the airport. We do not tolerate violence, and we thank our team members for their professionalism in handling a difficult situation.”

Commenting on Singh's post, the airline wrote: “Our first priority is the safety of the crew and our customers, and we take these matters very seriously.”
