Olivia Rodrigo is a thrift store queen in vintage nudes
Olivia Rodrigo is a Gen Z style star, and for good reason.
The 21-year-old musician has developed a unique aesthetic that draws on aspects of grunge and interpretations of 1990s fashion by brands like Marc Jacobs Heaven. From see-through slip dresses to corset dresses, Converse high tops to fishnet tights, she's every inch the retro queen.
Another part of his throwback aesthetic? A predilection for vintage, which was just demonstrated in her latest red carpet appearance for the premiere. Brave World Travel Concert film.
Styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, she rocked a floor-scraping black lace knit gown with an intricate rose pattern and a scoop neck with spaghetti straps and scalloped edges. The dress was from Dior's Autumn/Winter 1998 collection, designed by John Galliano.
The sheer dress seemed to be a nod to the nude dress trend, but it was layered with a purple underlay, making it less revealing than other nude dresses we've seen.
And Olivia wasn't the only icon on the red carpet that night! Chappelle Rowan (Olivia's former tour opener) was also in attendance, wearing a burgundy, see-through dress that was delivering all sorts of 'red wine supernova'.
Featuring rose embellishment and styled with see-through matching opera gloves and black calf-high boots, the dress was a seriously chic compliment to Olivia's slinky black fit.
We can't lie that we're smitten with these dresses!
