Oasis' Liam Gallagher Responds To 'SNL' Skit Mocking His Feud With Brother Noel

The Gallagher brothers were the butt of jokes on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

Liam, 52, and Noel Gallagher, 57, were portrayed by Sarah Sherman and James Austin Johnson respectively, during the Weekend Update segment which poked fun at the siblings' infamous feud – prompting Liam's reaction.

Colin Jost began the segment by announcing that tickets for Oasis' North American tour were on sale “which is surprising to some because the band has been famously feuding for decades.”

The 42-year-old joined Jost and addressed the status of their relationship, played by brothers Sherman, 31, and Johnson, 35.

“I'm cool if he's cool,” Johnson said as Noel.

“I'm cool. I'm cool. I'm cooler than you,” Sherman responded as Liam.

“Great, so not that one,” Jost said.

The siblings back off as “Noel” jokingly starts singing their hit “Wonderwall” while calling “Liam” a “baby.”

Later in the segment, Jost asked the pair how their feud began.

“Wembley Stadium, 1993,” said “Liam,” who accused “Noel” of telling the Spice Girls that he had a “crooked butt,” which “Noel” denied.

After another brief fight, the brothers reunite to rank their favorite “Sex and the City” boyfriend and Will Smith films.

“We're not going on tour!” they shouted in unison.

The original Liam X (formerly on Twitter) received a backlash for the skit, writing, “Do they want to be comedians.”

Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991, but the band was almost always plagued by drama between the Gallagher brothers.

After years of blow-ups and trash-talking in the press, the group officially called it quits in 2009 when Noel announced he was leaving the band.

“It is with some sadness and great relief … that I leave Oasis tonight,” Noel said in a statement at the time. “People will write and say what they like, but I just couldn't work with Liam more than one day.”

In 2018, Liam claimed that Noel was “desperate” to return to Oasis and blamed Noel's ex Sarah for preventing him from rejoining the team.

Liam took a dig at his brother as recently as February, when he blasted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after being nominated for induction into the group Oasis. Liam announced that he would not be attending the event in Cleveland, but speculated that Noel would go since “this little boy likes to hang out with celebrities.”

However, the siblings have miraculously put their differences aside and announced an Oasis 2025 UK tour.

They both shared the news on their social media sites in August, writing, “This is it, this is it.”

Liam and Noel will play a total of 4 concerts at Wembley Stadium in London, as well as 4 concerts in Manchester, in addition to shows in Scotland, Wales and Ireland next summer.
