NFL superstar Tyreek Hill's license was briefly suspended in 2018
“The Cheetah” didn't exactly have a spotless driving record before Sunday's pre-game altercation with cops — his license was suspended in 2018.
A few years before Tyreek Hill signed with the Miami Dolphins, the superstar wide receiver was cited by the Miami-Dade Police Department — the same department involved in his controversial arrest before the Fins' Sept. 8 season opener — for failing to stop at a red light.
Hill, 30, failed to pay the ticket by Aug. 8, 2018, and a judge suspended his driver's license on Aug. 16, 2018 after additionally citing him, records show.
On September 6, 2018, the suspension was lifted after he paid $293 to settle the matter.
After last week's arrest, Hill received two citations as a result of his traffic stop, including one for careless driving and a seatbelt violation on the way to Hard Rock Stadium.
In police bodycam footage, officers are heard telling Hill to “stop crying” and “do what we say.”
Other footage showed a policeman banging on the driver's side window of his black McLaren 720 coupe, asking him to roll down his window before pulling the speedster out of the sports car.
One responding officer, Danny Torres, was placed on administrative leave and the Miami-Dade Police Department launched an internal investigation into the matter Sunday.
Torres, who Hill accused of using “excessive” balls, had previously been sacked six times in his 27-year career, according to the report.
The length of suspension varies from five to 20 days.
