Nasdaq futures rise as Netflix earns strong: Live update

Stock futures rose on Friday as investors looked to end the week on a high note, while strong Netflix earnings boosted sentiment.
Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures 10 points up. S&P 500 futures And Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.2% and 0.4% respectively.
Netflix The streaming giant rose more than 5% in the third quarter after beating Wall Street expectations on both lines, while ad-level subscriptions jumped 35% from the prior three-month period.

On the economic front, investors will watch Friday for data on housing starts and building permits. They will also watch for expected commentary from central bank officials, including Atlanta Federal Reserve President Raphael Bostick and Minneapolis Fed President Neil Kashkari.
American Express And Procter & Gamble Earnings reports are in the company hours before Friday morning.
“Earnings season is off to a competitive start, and despite some mixed signals, appears to be in good shape,” said Liz Young Thomas, head of investment strategy at SoFi. “However, we are in the early innings, and coming into the final days before the election and the next Fed meeting.”
