'Naked and Afraid' star Sarah Dancer dies in accident aged 34

Former “Naked and Afraid” star Sarah Dancer died Tuesday at the age of 34 after a car accident in Hawaii.

The reality TV star, who appeared on the survival series in 2017, died when a 59-year-old man lost control of his car and crashed into a parked car in Kahala, Honolulu, KSLA reported.

Dancer, who was in the passenger seat, was taken to hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries on October 22.

The driver of the car was admitted to hospital on Sunday and remains in critical condition.

A woman in the parked car was also hospitalized after the man she was sitting next to refused treatment, Honolulu police said.

Police indicated that speed was a factor in the crash, not that drugs or alcohol were involved, the outlet added.

“Magical is the way to describe her,” Sarah's brother, Jake Dancer, told the outlet. “She had this positive energy about Sarah that really filled the environment she was in.”

“I actually saw how much of a difference he made in other people's lives. I think he saved my life once by diving in Indonesia,” added his father, Dan Dancer.

The Post has reached out to representatives for Warner Bros. Discovery, the network that airs the reality series, for comment.

At the time of her death, Sarah worked at Hawaii Island Divers. Tributes have been paid by scuba diving centers following the news of his death.

“Heavy hearts as we say goodbye to a good friend and great captain. Sarah brought such great energy to everyone she came in contact with. You will be greatly missed,” they wrote Thursday on Facebook.

The post was accompanied by a screenshot of Sarah's final Instagram upload, which was a picture of herself on a boat.

“Who knows this boat? Look who's driving him! 😅🙌,” Sarah captioned the Oct. 11 post.

Sarah introduced herself as a “pirate” and “boat captain, scuba diver”. [and] Survivalist” on social media.

The Colorado native had lived in Hawaii for 12 years before his death.

After appearing in “Naked & Afraid” in 2017, Sara returned the following year for a spin-off titled “Naked & Afraid XL”.

He also participated in “Fight to Survive” last year.

Her “Naked and Afraid” co-star Melissa Lauren has since paid tribute, saying that Sarah ” [one] Among the bravest souls I've ever met.”

“She was not only a fierce survivor of 'Naked and Afraid' (she completed the XL in South Africa with me), but a breast cancer survivor who kept an inspiring and positive attitude through her treatment.”

“Arrest easy Sara, I know you're out there somewhere,” Lauren added.
