Mega Millions Winning Numbers for 10/18/24: $185 Million Jackpot

The Mega Millions jackpot continued to grow on Friday, reaching an estimated $185 million for the drawing after no one claimed the top prize on Tuesday.

The winning numbers were drawn after 11pm on Friday and we have the results below

In March, a lucky Mega Millions player in New Jersey won $1.1 billion. Although that prize has yet to be claimed, the lottery says it is not the first time a jackpot has gone unclaimed

If anyone has the lucky ticket for Friday night's $185 million jackpot, they could take home a lump sum payment of an estimated $88 million after taxes, according to the lottery.

How to play Mega Millions

To buy a ticket, you need to go to your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store – and in some states, you can buy tickets online.

To play, you have to pick six numbers. Five numbers from 1 to 70 will be white balls. Gold Mega Balls are a number between 1 and 25.

If you believe the odds are against you, ask for a “quick pick” or an “easy pick”, the computer will randomly generate numbers for you.

Players can add “megapliers” for $1, which can increase non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. Megamultipliers are drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesdays and Fridays.
