List of MTV Video Music Award winners: Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Chappelle Rhone, Sabrina Carpenter lead the way
Updated with full winners list: The year's biggest names in music gathered at UBS Arena in Long Island, NY on Wednesday, for a chance to take home a Moon Person.
Hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards features the likes of Chappelle Rhone, Sabrina Carpenter, Gloria, Carol G and LL Cool J, making her first VMA gig in over 25 years, while celebrating the year's best performances.
Taylor Swift, who came away with 10 nominations, led the pack with five total wins at the awards show, including artist of the year; The other came for “Fortnite,” his duet with Post Malone. Other wins came from Ariana Grande, Eminem, Megan The Stallion and SZA. Sabrina Carpenter won Song of the Year (“Espresso”) and Chappelle Rhone won Best New Artist.

Carpenter and Ron were among this year's first-time nominees, including Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Tyla, Jelly Roll, Jessie Murph, Rao Alejandro, Sexy Red, Victoria Monette, Alexander Stewart, Burna Boy, Coco Jones, Fliana The Boss, Gracie Abrams. .
Meanwhile, Katy Perry received this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. He also won for Most Iconic Performance.
The 2024 MTV VMAs were originally scheduled for Tuesday before being postponed to avoid conflicting with the presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on ABC. Falling on the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, MTV also honored 9/11 Day and Tuesday's children's nonprofit.
