Lily Allen says she makes more money selling foot pictures than her music streams
Lily Allen has revealed she earns more than her music streams on Spotify just by posting pictures of her feet to fans.
In June, the 39-year-old singer launched an account on the subscription-based platform that featured only pictures of her feet. On Friday, the “Smile” hitmaker revealed that his side hustle is more lucrative than the royalties he receives as an artist on the streaming service.
“Imagine being an artist and having about 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify but 1000 people subscribing to pictures of your feet making more money,” Allen wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Don't hate the player, hate the game.”
Allen made the revelation in response to an X user who made a comment on another post shared by the singer.

Earlier on Friday, Allen posted a link to his OnlyFans account and followed up with another post featuring four photos of his feet.

“Haven't posted in a while but you can still check the archive,” she wrote alongside the foot snaps.
“Imagine being one of the biggest pop stars/musicians in Europe and then being cut short,” one X user commented.
After firing back at the commenter, Allen responded to another post shared by the X account for media company Pop Crave.
The post shared a Billboard article in which the outlet reported that Allen earns substantial income from his Spotify stream.
“Lily Allen earns about $4,077 a day from Spotify, which equates to $1.4 million annually, according to a new Billboard article,” the post, which also included a quote from the music website's story, said.
“With sound recordings, $3,239 goes to the copyright owner; $336 in mechanical royalties goes to the publisher, who pays the songwriter; and $503 goes to performance rights companies,” Billboard cites.
Allen Pop disputed the Billboard report in a comment on the Crave X post.
“This is incredibly confusing, but I'm not smart enough to explain how to make a tiny percentage of what I'm quoted here,” Singer wrote. “You just have to believe me that neoliberal capitalism doesn't care about paying artists for their work.”
Allen charges $10 per month for his OnlyFans account membership. He has shared 55 posts, and his most recent upload was on September 27
In a June episode of her podcast “Miss Me,” Allen shared that her manicurist informed her that the singer had a high score on Wikifit, a website dedicated to rating celebrities' feet.

“I have a woman who comes and does my nails,” Allen told “Miss Me” co-host Mikuita Oliver in an Instagram clip from the episode. “They told me I have five stars on WikiFeet, which is very rare. My feet are highly rated on the internet.
“He said I could make a lot of money selling footy stuff to fans only,” Allen added. “And I'm like, 'No no'.”
Allen revealed on a July episode of “Miss Me” that she debuted her only fan page where she exclusively posts photos and videos of her feet.

The Grammy Award nominee said she has “strict guidelines” about the content she shares and that she's “really enjoying it.”
“How is your husband? Is he okay?” Oliver asked, referring to David Harbor, 49, Allen's wife.
“Yeah, he is. He thinks it's great,” Allen said of the “Stranger Things” star. “At first, he was, like, not on, but he was like, 'Is this a joke for you?' And I was like, 'No, it's not completely a mess,' but maybe there's something in the energy element of it that's a little bit off-putting to me.
“I think the attention and energy will always be a lifelong curse for you,” Oliver joked. “And we're both surfing. So, yeah, I bet you're having a great time.”
