Kate Middleton quits Prince Harry peacemaker role, 'finally throws up her hands in disgust': expert
Sources have long insisted that Kate Middleton wanted to play the role of peacemaker in the conflict between Prince William and Prince Harry. But after her battle with cancer, the Princess of Wales seems to have different priorities.
“The King” author Christopher Anderson told Fox News Digital that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren't on Cut's radar these days. Instead, William, 42, is focused on preserving the future of the monarchy alongside his father-in-law, King Charles III.
“The idea that Kate still has the time and energy to continue playing Peacemaker is rubbish,” claimed Andersen. “He tried for years and finally threw up his hands in disgust. He did his bit, but it wasn't enough to build a bridge between William and Charles on the one hand and Harry on the other.”
A Kensington Palace spokesman did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Kate Middleton helps teen with cancer fulfill 'bucket list' dreams after completing her own chemotherapy treatment
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that Kate is “absolutely at one” with William, 42, in handling the royal rift, and for good reason.
“Harry portrays him as cold and unwelcoming [his wife] Meghan Markle in [his memoir] 'Spare,' when he paints a very damaging picture of the royal family,” explained Fitzwilliams. “The memoir will soon be published in paperback and his allegations will resurface, though thankfully, he will not add to or promote the volume. He knows very well how harmful it is.”
Fitzwilliams noted that Kate will focus on gradually returning to royal duties on her terms while prioritizing her health.
“We have recently seen encouraging signs of Catherine's recovery,” he explained. “Her focus, as she says, is being 'cancer free'. The Wells family has had a very difficult year, she's finished her course of preventative chemotherapy, she's been very supportive while keeping up with some royal engagements… [But] Catherine will want to avoid anything that encourages negative energy.”

Harry has had a strained relationship with his family since he and Meghan left royal duties in 2020. At the time, the couple said the intolerable intrusion and racist attitudes of the British press prompted them to step back as senior members of the royal family.
The father of two has detailed his rocky relationship with his family in TV interviews, a documentary and his memoirs.
In his book, Harry alleged that during an argument in 2019, William called his wife “tough” and “rude” and then grabbed her by the collar and knocked her out. Harry suffered cuts and bruises from landing in the dog bowl. Harry claims that Charles begged the brothers to make up. After the funeral of Charles' father, Prince Philip, in 2021, the king pleaded, “Please, boys, don't make my last years miserable.”
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard claimed to Fox News Digital that Kate is known for having “a strong sense of humor”. However, she is “not prioritizing contact with Prince Harry at this time.”
“Making sure his family is well and happy is his priority,” claims Chard. “She's also aware that she needs to be kind to herself. After completing her preventative chemotherapy treatment, she's relieved to carry out royal duties where possible but realizes she's not completely out of the woods.”
“Prince Harry will want to communicate with Princess Catherine,” Chard claimed. “Prince Harry will be upset by the silent treatment – and the royal family is aware of it.”

Sources previously told People magazine that Harry's calls and letters to his father have gone unanswered. Her attempts to connect with William through texts, calls and messages “are uniformly ignored.”
“Katherine has pursued peace for the past year,” Kinsey Schofield, host of the To D for Daily podcast, claimed to Fox News Digital. “[But] Harry and Meghan are not on the Prince and Princess of Wales' radar at the moment. Catherine focused on her health and family. Harry and Meghan's relentless exploits are irrelevant to them at this point.”
“Even with Catherine now it's clear … the reality is that cancer has taken a toll on King Charles,” Schofield claimed, adding that the 75-year-old monarch is battling the disease.
William is heir to the British throne.
“Prince William and Catherine will have to prepare for a complete change from the privacy and intimacy they have led to William. [eventually] Ascension,” Schofield said. “They're planning for things like how to navigate teenagers under that kind of spotlight. How much access will the world have? How to protect their children.”

“The big picture no longer includes Harry, and they are focused on keeping Catherine cancer-free, the future of their family and the future of the crown,” Schofield continued. “Harry probably misses Catherine because she's a perpetual victim, but you made your bed, lay in it now. I hope the pay he got from the 'spare' was worth losing a sister-in-law who loved him like his own little brother.” Was complaining about Catherine's lack of enthusiasm for sharing lip gloss with a stranger wife or revealing private text messages from the future queen worth her exile?”

“The idea that Kate still has the time and energy to continue playing peacemaker is rubbish. She tried for years and finally threw up her hands in disgust. She did her job, but it wasn't enough to build a relationship between William and Charles on one side and Harry on the other. bridge between.”
“Harry has to accept the consequences of his actions,” added Schofield.
But not everyone agrees that Kate tried to be peaceful after becoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal exit.
“It's an interesting scenario that Kate is the peacemaker between William and Harry,” royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital. “I hadn't heard that and was surprised it was coming from a PR source promoting Kate.”
“Kate is going against William and her emotions are not being heard,” he claimed. “But like all royal stories, truth is… stranger than fiction. I think Meghan needs to feel safe coming back to a horrible environment. Harry would never betray her.”
Kate announced on September 9 that she had finished treatment six months after being diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. His announcement came six weeks after Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch was undergoing treatment for cancer.
Announcing his progress in a video, he said the road to full recovery will be long, and he's taking it day by day. He said he would take on some limited engagements later in the year.
