John Krasinski to star in Amazon MGM Studios 'Jack Ryan' movie as franchise enters new phase of series extension; Wendell Pierce returns and Michael Kelly in discussion

It looks like Amazon MGM Studios and John Krasinski aren't ready to say goodbye to the Jack Ryan character as the studio is developing a new feature film starring Krasinski in the next phase of the franchise's evolution. Wendell Pierce, who starred alongside Krasinski in the 2018–23 TV series, will also star, and Michael Kelly is in talks to reprise his starring role.

Andrew Bernstein, who served as an executive producer and director on Season 2 of the Prime Video series, is directing the film from a script by Aaron Rabin, who served as co-EP and writer on Season 4. Krasinski and Alison Seeger are producing through Sunday Night. Andrew Form is also producing. The film is co-produced by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, with David Ellison and Dana Goldberg executive producing alongside John Kelly and Carlton Cuse.

The film will be an extension of the Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television and Skydance landmark original series. Tom Clancy's Jack Ryanwhich starred Krasinski in the iconic role of Clancy.
