It doesn't look like Jayden Daniels will be able to play this week.

With multiple reporters on the scene, Daniels was not on the field for Friday's portion of the Commanders' practice open to the media.

Although head coach Dan Quinn said Daniels (ribs) has been participating in meetings and walk-throughs this week, he has not practiced. Reporters noted that Daniels went into an indoor practice bubble with other quarterbacks. But when the group moved out, Daniels wasn't among them.

Quinn will speak to reporters later, and Washington's injury report will shed more light on Daniels' condition when it is released later Friday.

Daniels suffered a rib injury early in last week's win over the Panthers. Marcus Mariota is set to start against the Bears if Daniels can't play.
