Jane's Addiction Apologizes for Fighting on Stage
Jane's Addiction has apologized after canceling an upcoming show following an on-stage brawl in Boston.
On Friday night, the American band cut their gig short after frontman Perry Farrell threw a punch at guitarist David Navarro.
They were supposed to play in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Sunday as part of their reunion tour but that has now been pulled.
“We would like to sincerely apologize to our fans for the events that took place last night,” the band wrote on Instagram on Saturday.
“As a result we will be canceling tomorrow night's show in Bridgeport.”
The band insisted that fans would be repaid.
Footage on social media showed Farrell yelling at Navarro, 57, and punching him.
The 65-year-old rocker was then restrained by staff and taken off the stage at Boston's Leader Bank Pavilion.
Jane's Addition has reunited after more than a decade, and is set to play a string of dates across the US and Canada in the coming months.
There is no confirmation yet on whether those shows will go ahead.
Their hits include Bean Cat Stealing, Stress and The Great Escape Artist.
