Frontier Airlines flight forced to make emergency landing after fire, tire burst

LAS VEGAS (WKRC/CNN NewsSource) – A Frontier Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing after it caught fire.

A flight from San Diego on Saturday made an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after a fire broke out under the plane.

An eyewitness captured the moment the plane burst into flames as it landed. According to an airline spokesperson, the pilots detected smoke during landing and declared an emergency.

Airport officials said the plane experienced a hard landing, due to which its tires burst. Fire service and rescue personnel quickly responded and extinguished the fire.

No one was injured in the incident and an investigation has been launched to find out how the situation happened.
