Fred Warner, George Kittle active for Week 5 vs. Cardinals; Inactive for #AZvsSF
Linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) and tight end George Kittle (ribs), two of San Francisco's biggest playmakers, are active for the team's Week 5 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran duo entered the weekend as questionable after both were injured in the team's 30-13 win over the New England Patriots and missed two days of practice. However, both managed to join the team in time for their final workout of the week.
The 49ers other area of concern was along the interior of the defensive line. On Saturday, Yetur Gross-Matos, who plays both inside line and on the edge, was placed on the injured reserve list, but the team was able to partially offset the loss by activating defensive tackle Kalia Davis from the same list. Additionally, Kevin Givens and Jordan Elliott were given the green light to play Sunday afternoon, providing additional depth in the middle of the line.
