Emmy winners: The list is being updated
[Follow live updates of the Emmy Awards here.]
The 76th Emmy Awards are now underway at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and are being broadcast live on ABC. Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, of “Shits Creek” fame, are hosting.
Due to the writers' and actors' strike last year, this is actually the second Emmy ceremony of 2024: the first took place in January after being postponed from last September.
“The Bear” is up for the most awards in the comedy category, with its 23 nominations breaking a record for a comedy alone (previously “30 Rock” held the record for 15 years). Due to the eligibility period, these nominations are for season 2, not season three, of “The Bear,” which premiered this summer. For drama, “Shogun” got the most nods.
“Palm Royale” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” as well as the limited series “Baby Reindeer,” also have a chance to end the evening with multiple statues.
At last weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul performed their “Which of the Pickwick Triplets?” Reached EGOT status after winning in the Outstanding Original Music and Song categories for the song. From “Only Murders in the Building”.
These are this year's Emmy winners so far.
