Donald Glover Cancels Childish Gambino Tour Dates Due To 'Illness'

Donald Glover has canceled the remaining dates of his Childish Gambino tour after scheduling surgery for an “illness.”

The American actor, rapper and singer was scheduled to travel to the UK in November and early December to perform in Manchester, Glasgow, London and Birmingham, and Dublin, Ireland. Glover has already postponed the remainder of his North American tour to focus on his “physical health.”

Writing on X, he wrote: “After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to confirm an illness that had become apparent. After being evaluated, it became clear that I would not be performing that night, and after further testing, I I will not be able to make the rest of the US tour within the requested time frame, as I have surgery scheduled and need time to heal.”

The musician, 41, did not elaborate on the nature of the illness. However, he said his recovery was “something I have to deal with seriously”.

“With that being said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates,” he continued. “I want nothing more than to bring this show to the fans and perform. Until then, thanks for the love, privacy and support.”

Glover, who has won five Grammy Awards, retired his stage name Childish Gambino after the release of his final album, Bando Stone and the New World, in July. The tour was Glover's final farewell to the childish Gambino.
