How to play Powerball
To buy a $2 Powerball ticket, you need to go to your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store – and in some states, you can buy tickets online.
To play, you need to pick a total of six numbers to be marked on your ticket. Five numbers from 1 to 69 will be the white ball. The powerball is red and has a number between 1 and 26.
If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can add a “Power Play” for $1 that increases the winnings of all non-jackpot prizes. This addition can multiply winnings 2X, 3X, 4X, 5Xor 10X.
Players can ask a cashier to do a “quick pick” where a cashier will give you a computer generated number on a printed Powerball ticket.
Drawings are made on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. If there is no jackpot winner, the cash prize will increase to millions.
