Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds took a shot last week in Denver
DENVER — Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds suffered a minor concussion after being shot in Denver last week, the team confirmed to Denver 7 in a statement.
The Broncos didn't share many details about the incident, saying only that Reynolds “was shot Friday in Denver and was treated for minor injuries.”
“Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities,” the statement continued.
ESPN, citing police documents, reported that Reynolds and another man were found near South Quebec Street and East Union Avenue in Denver after multiple 911 calls were made to two people shot.
According to ESPN, Reynolds was shot twice — once in the left arm and once in the back of the head. He was treated at a Denver-area hospital and later released.
The Broncos signed Reynolds to a two-year deal worth up to $14 million in March. He scored his first touchdown with the Broncos during the team's 34–18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
He injured his finger during the same game. He underwent surgery and was placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN.
This is a developing story.
