Dave Grohl says a viral post claiming a photo of the child he welcomed out of wedlock is fake.
The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, admitted on Wednesday (September 11) to cheating on his wife Jordyn Bloom and fathering a daughter out of wedlock. She promised to be a “loving and supportive parent” in her social media announcement about the child.
Grohl, who shares three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia, with Bloom, admitted he was “doing everything” to “earn the trust and their forgiveness” of his family following his extramarital affair.
Soon after Grohl shared his announcement, an Instagram post claiming to be Roxy Juni Grohl's newborn daughter went viral.
A rep for Grohl has since said: TMZ The post is fake. independent Grohl's representatives have been contacted for comment.
The post included an image of a woman holding a newborn baby's hand along with a long caption
“My sweet Roxy Juni Grohl, being your mom has already been the most incredible experience of my life,” the caption reads.
“Every day, I fall in love with you and this new role. Your father, was by my side throughout the pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I am grateful for his love and support.
“I'm new to this whole baby mama thing, but I promise to always do my best for you. As much as I want to share my joy with the world, I need to protect our privacy right now,” the alleged cheating post continued.
“I'm glad everyone knows about you, because you're a special part of my life.”
The creator said that when they look at their child, they see Grohl's face “like a little reflection of him in the tiniest, cutest way.”

“From the shape of your eyes to the way your little nose crinkles when you smile, you really are a Grohl,” they complain.
The post continued: “It's amazing how much he shines in you already. Your dad is so proud that you carry on the spirit of his family, and I can already tell you have the same strength and kindness in you.
“You are a perfect mix of both of us, but my heart melts every time I see those little reminders of her in you. You are our little legacy, we couldn't be prouder. Thank you so much for your love and support guys! Rock on!”
Besides insisting that the viral Instagram post was fake, Grohl hasn't revealed any details about his new baby or the baby's mother.
The rock star first met his wife Bloom, 48, at the Sunset Marquis whiskey bar in 2001. cameGrohl admitted that he stopped calling Blum after they went on a few first dates, realizing she wasn't ready for commitment.
“After three months, I had a revelation and called him back. He picked up the phone and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again,'” he said.
They finally tied the knot on August 2, 2003 at their Los Angeles home. They welcomed three children together: Violet May, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint, born in 2006, 2009 and 2014 respectively.
The former Nirvana drummer has long been a self-confessed family man, often noting that he hates spending time away from his family while on tour. He withdrew the time In 2009: “I used to tour nine months of the year. Now I don't like to be away from my kids for more than 12 days.
“It changed everything I do,” he said at the time. “When you have kids, you see life differently.”
