Caitlin Clark snagged another unanimous WNBA honor after Rookie of the Year controversy

Caitlin Clark received another WNBA award on Wednesday, and she once again fell one vote short of the unanimous honor.

The Fever superstar was named first-team All-WNBA on Wednesday, but the honor didn't come without a bit of headwinds given how she made the list.

Clark, 22, received 52 of a possible 67 first-team votes and 14 used their votes to place Clark second-team All-WNBA.

This means that one voter omitted Clarke entirely, making it the second time he has not been given a clean sweep for league honors due to a single voter leaving their ballot.

Earlier this month, Clark won WNBA Rookie of the Year with 66 of a possible 67 first-place votes, with the other going to Sky star Angel Reese.

Who voted for Reese was a mystery, and that mystery is renewed by the fact that he was once again snubbed by the voter.

Voting for the WNBA Rookie of the Year is not made public so no one will know who the lone voter was.

It's unlikely fans will know who left Clark off their All-WNBA ballot.

“I'm incredibly honored to be named Rookie of the Year, but more than that, I'm grateful to everyone who supported me this past season — my family and friends, my teammates, the Fever organization and everyone who cheered us on all season long. I'm very proud of what we've accomplished and I'm very excited for what the future holds,” Clark said in a statement when he won Rookie of the Year.

Clark started every game for the Fever this year and averaged 19.2 points per game with a league-leading 8.4 assists and 122 3-pointers, breaking numerous league and franchise records.
