Broncos RB Tyler Bady remains on a stretcher after collapsing on the sideline with a back injury
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Buddy collapsed on the sideline and was carried off the sideline on a stretcher with a back injury during Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
He was injured on several plays before collapsing.
Buddy hit his back from linebacker Quincy Williams' helmet and fell face first into the turf. He fumbled on the play, and the Jets recovered for a turnover. Buddy left the field after the injury before collapsing on the sideline several plays later.
The Broncos' athletic training staff tended to Baddie as he lay on his back, then placed him on a stretcher. He was paralyzed and walked off the field.
According to the CBS broadcast, Bodi was showing agitation on the sidelines.
The Broncos later announced that Bady had suffered a back injury. He is officially listed as questionable to return. The specific nature of the injury was not initially clear.
Bady, 24, is a third-year pro after playing in college at Missouri. He was the Ravens' sixth-round draft pick in 2022 and spent most of his time on Baltimore's practice squad. The Broncos signed him off Baltimore's practice squad in 2022 and he has remained with Denver ever since.
Buddy made just one appearance for the Broncos in 2023 before being included in the offense this season. He entered Sunday's game rushing 10 times for 86 yards. He tallied 70 yards on nine carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Denver Week 3.
