Bank of America Down: Customers Report Widespread Outages | CNN Business

Bank of America customers reported having trouble accessing their bank accounts on Wednesday.

Reports of a problem at Bank of America spread around 12:45 pm ET to Downdetector, which collects data on outages.

Many customers have complained that they cannot see their account balance. Some who could access their accounts were shocked to see zero balances.

Bank of America did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Multiple CNN employees with Bank of America accounts were unable to log into their accounts online. A message displayed to a Bank of America customer said the current balance amount for one or more accounts “may be temporarily unavailable.”

“Five accounts show zero balances, over 20K,” wrote a Bank of America customer on Downdetector.

Another said he can't log in but his wife can and her account shows no balance.

“My loan looks just fine,” said another user.
