A Frontier flight caught fire while landing at Las Vegas airport
A Border flight The plane caught fire while landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday. Cell phone video shows flames and smoke from the plane's undercarriage as it descends the runway. Fire trucks and other emergency services vehicles rushed to the runway as smoke engulfed the plane.
“Frontier Flight 1326 experienced a difficult landing,” an airport spokesperson confirmed to CBS News. “The Clark County Fire Department responded immediately and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated to a gated area. No injuries were reported.”
Frontier Flight 1326 left San Diego at 1:51 a.m. Pacific Time and landed in Las Vegas at 3:37 p.m., according to Flight Hours.
“Pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency,” a Frontier Airlines spokesperson confirmed to CBS News. “The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via the aircraft stairs. No injuries were reported, and passengers were bussed to the terminal. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.”
