Sean 'Diddy' Combs is accused of assaulting a teenager in a new lawsuit

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new charges of rape, sexual assault and sexual assault after a new lawsuit was filed Monday.

At least six lawsuits have been filed in New York federal court by two women and four men. These include complaints from 1995 to 2021.

The accused, who did not want to be named, alleged that some of the attacks took place at Mr. Combs' parties, which were attended by major celebrities and music artists.

Mr Combs' lawyers denied the allegations, saying in a statement to the BBC that he had “never sexually harassed anyone – adult or minor, male or female”.

One of the accused said he was 16 when he attended a party in the Hamptons in 1998. In the lawsuit, she described being thrilled to be invited to Mr. Combs' party, which has become a premier A-list annual event for celebrities.

The accused said he saw countless celebrities and music artists as he walked around and ran into Mr Combs on his way to the bathroom. He said he began talking to Mr. Combs about entering the music industry when they went to a more private place.

The complainant alleged that during their conversation, Mr. Combs suddenly ordered her to undress.

According to the suit, Mr Combs said it was “a rite of passage” and “a path to becoming a star”. The rapper told the teen he could make anyone a star and that the teen had the right “look,” the lawsuit said.

Another lawsuit filed Monday includes allegations from a woman who claims Mr. Combs raped her in a hotel room in 2004 when she was a 19-year-old college student.

According to the suit, she met the music mogul at a photo shoot, where he invited her and a friend to attend a private party at his hotel. Once they arrived, the lawsuit alleges that Mr. Combs “grossed, molested and eventually raped her” despite her repeated requests to stop.

Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who is representing the accusers, said he represents more than 100 people who plan to sue the rapper alleging sexual assault, rape and sexual exploitation.

Mr Buzby said some of the alleged victims included children. He said the cases are being brought under the Victims of Gender-Based Violence Protection Act, which allows victims to file old claims.

“We will let the allegations in the complaints filed speak for themselves and work to see that justice is served,” Mr. Buzbee said in a statement after the lawsuit was filed Monday.

“We expect to file many more lawsuits naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants in the coming weeks as we continue to gather evidence and prepare filings.”

The lawsuits are the latest in more than a dozen lawsuits filed against Mr. Combs recently, accusing the music mogul of assault, battery and sexual assault.

He denied all civil and criminal claims against him.

Mr. Combs faces federal criminal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Last week a judge tentatively set May 5, 2025 for his trial to begin.

Mr. Combs held Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York Since his September 16 arrest. His lawyers argued for his release pending trial, citing “horrendous” prison conditions.

A federal judge in New York rejected their bail application, arguing that Mr Combs was a “serious flight risk”.
