Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis offers 10 gallons of free gas at state-run fuel depots

Plant City, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Saturday morning the opening of three state-run fuel depots in the Tampa Bay area where residents can get up to ten gallons of free gas after Hurricane Milton.

The governor said three more fuel depots are in the works, one near the heart of Tampa, one in a different part of Pinellas County and one in Sarasota County. He said they may open more depending on demand.

The announcement comes as many people in Tampa Bay are waiting in long lines for gas, as many stations are either out of fuel or without power.
