Jenelle questioned how Cody managed the family's finances
Expressing anger over the family's inability to pay Coyote Pass, Janelle said Cody claimed “there's all this other debt.” And, still, he's seen her collecting other assets like trailers and home decor. “I can see all the art on their walls,” she said of Robin and Cody's home. “I see all these things. And it's okay, I have money and I've spent on things.” (Cody, for his part, said most of his cash went to buying cars—”basically a fleet”—and insurance for the kids.)
And while Jenelle admitted she wasn't sure how Cody and Robyn managed their money, “I was always amazed at how beautiful her backyard was. It was completely finished. And her house was always, like, stuff. And I Was, 'Wow'.
Bottom line, she said, “he doesn't prioritize what I need or what I want.” And this problem eventually wore him down. “I think after a while, I started seeing it, and my kids were getting it very My grown-ups are as angry about it as children. Like, 'What the hell?'
But Robin admits that after the breakup of her first marriage, she was very careful with her budget.
“I've never been so good with money,” she shared during the Sept. 22 episode. “When I was younger, I had a hard time, and then I really learned during my divorce how to budget myself very well.” As for the wives of his fellow classmates, he said, “You must have had different priorities about where your money went than I did, that's all.”
