Fever rookie Caitlin Clark broke the WNBA's single-season assists record
Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark continues to rewrite the WNBA record books.
Clarke set the WNBA single-season assists record Friday night when she His 317th record of the season In a match against the Las Vegas Aces, the Connecticut Sun's Alyssa Thomas surpassed the record set last season.
With five minutes to go, Clark bounced an inbounds pass to a charging Kelsey Mitchell, who drove to the hoop and sank a layup, giving her five assists on the night.

Clark, who scored all of his 18 points in the second half, finished with eight rebounds and nine assists as Las Vegas beat Indiana 78-74.
The feat came less than two months after setting the single-game assists record (19) in a loss to the Dallas Wings. Clark also broke the rookie (Ticha Penicheiro had 225 in 1998) and franchise (Erica Wheeler had 201 in 2023) records earlier this year.
The No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft out of Iowa, Clark averaged 19.1 points and a league-high 8.4 assists. He is averaging 5.8 rebounds.
