Owner Who Sold Discount 'Billionaire Bunker' Mansion, Jeff Bezos Sues Realtor For Not Disclosing Buyer
The man who sold Jeff Bezos his posh mansion near Miami Beach for $79 million is suing the realtor who handled the sale, saying the realtor withheld the buyer's name, potentially costing him up to $6 million.
Leo Chris, co-founder of Brazilian toy and electronics company TechToy, is suing Douglas Elliman, alleging that the real estate firm's CEO told him privately that Bezos was not a buyer for the seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom home it sits on. A 2.8-acre estate, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“Douglas Elliman failed in their duty to our client. … They knew or should have known who the ultimate beneficial buyer was and misrepresented that very important fact to our client,” Dana Clayton, an attorney for Chris, told the newspaper.
Fox Business reached out to Bezos.
Kryss put the house up for sale last year with an $85 million price tag. Bezos initially bought the property next door for $68 million. He later anonymously offered Kyrss' estate $79 million.

Kiers asked if Bezos was the one who made the offer. In his lawsuit, Douglas Elliman CEO Jay Parker said Bezos was not a buyer and the buyer would not be willing to go above $79 million for the property.
The lawsuit alleges that Celine Klepach, the real estate agent who handled the sale, is the daughter of Indian Creek Mayor Benny Klepach, the newspaper reported.
He led Chris to believe the property was being purchased for the Klepach family, the Journal reported.
After sale. Kearse learned that Bezos had made the offer. Chris's lawsuit states that he would not have agreed to a 7% price reduction if he had known.

Known as the “Billionaire's Bunker,” Indian Creek Island has had several famous residents, including Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and retired NFL star Tom Brady.
Douglas Elliman declined to comment on the Fox business.
