Howard Stern Slams Kamala Harris About Maya Rudolph's Impersonation On 'SNL': 'There's So Much At Stake'
Shock jock Howard Stern told Kamala Harris that he “hated” to see her mocked on “Saturday Night Live” during the vice president's appearance on his radio show Tuesday.
“I hate it. I don't want you to be made fun of,” Stern told the Democratic presidential candidate. “There is a lot more at stake. I believe the entire future of this country right now … it's literally on the line.”
But Harris, 59, said he got a laugh out of his impersonation of actor Maya Rudolph in last week's episode.
“It was fun,” he said. “I'm a huge fan of Maya Rudolph, so I think she put a lot of time into the part and the character.”
Rudolph reprized his role as Harris this season after first starring as California's former district attorney in the run-up to the 2020 election.
Harris addressed the “SNL” skits during an appearance on “The View” earlier in the day.
He was shown a video of Rudolph's performance that he had not yet seen during the talk show
“Maya Rudolph. I mean she's so good. She has the whole thing — the suit, the jewelry, everything, the attitude,” Harris said.
The two appearances are part of a new media tour Harris is embarking on with less than a month to go until Election Day.
He previously reached out to younger generations on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, as well as been interviewed on “60 Minutes” and will appear on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday nights.
