Video: The Rock cuts IG promo after facing Roman Reigns, Rhodes in WWE bad blood
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson explained his silent appearance at Saturday night's WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia in an Instagram Live broadcast after leaving the stage.
“There's a lot of bull — that's been going on for the last six months,” The Rock told the audience.
He continued: “There is nothing, and The Rock, The Final Boss, I mean nothing, that will ever compare to The Rock going up there, The Final Boss, and hitting these three guys with his song and seeing that in the middle of the ring.
“You had Jimmy, you had Roman and you had Cody. The Rock doesn't need to say anything. Tonight, we're going to have a good time.”
Rock said nothing on stage. He raised his hand, counted three fingers and then made a slashing motion across his throat before leaving.
Wrestlemania XL featured a main event in which Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The Rock's staredown and Signal, and his comments to Rhodes and Reigns live, could point to a possible triple threat match for the 41st edition of the event.
The Rock didn't give any specifics during his rant to his Instagram followers.
“Here's what the final boss is thinking right now,” Rock said. “Is the Final Boss angry? Is the Final Boss happy? Is he somewhere in the middle? Well the Final Boss said it. Rock is feeling a lot about what he just saw… You want to know how the Final Boss feels about all that but The final boss will let you know when the final boss is ready for you.”
But both he and Rhodes hinted at big things coming at WrestleMania 41.
Rhodes recently Dr The Pat McAfee Show That the main event will be “bigger than anyone expected.”
The Rock, meanwhile, told ESPN's Mike Coppinger in June that WWE was “on the 1-yard line to create the biggest WrestleMania of all time and the biggest match of all time at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.”
