Diddy Warns Justin Bieber To Shut Up About What He Did With 'Big Brother Puff' In Resurrected Clip: 'He Knows Better'
A 2011 video featuring Justin Bieber and Sean “Diddy” Combs on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” This has resurfaced in the wake of the rapper's arrest on alleged sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The clip begins with host Jimmy Kimmel asking the pair how their friendship is and if they are working on music together.
“I think we became friends in a weird way,” Combs, 54, replied, to which Bieber, then 16, quipped, “It's Rob and Big,” in reference to skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard, the late Christopher. “Big Black” Boykin.
“I'm older and you're Rob,” the Grammy winner continued.
“He is like a little brother to many of us. He is not afraid to call and ask for advice. He's someone who's industry savvy, the record industry is a strong family,” Combs reflected. “He's someone that we definitely have our arms around and we want to protect him because he's a really nice person in addition to his talent.”
“He's one of the greatest kids you'll ever know,” he added.
Bieber then reached out for a handshake with Combs as the two laughed and pointed at each other.
“You know, Diddy bought his son a Bentley, he might as well buy you one while you're at it,” Kimmel, 56, quipped.
“He brought me a Lamborghini,” Bieber, now 30, responded. “I still don't get it, though.”
“When is it coming? That Lamborghini,” the talk show host interjected. “We talked about this last time.”
“For a day or two he had access to the Lamborghini and the house,” Combs said. “And he knows better than to talk about the things he does to Big Brother Puff on national television. Not everything is for everyone.”
Of late, another “awful” exchange between Combs and a then-15-year-old Bieber has received renewed attention.
“He spends 48 hours with Diddy, where we're hanging out and we can't really reveal what we're doing,” Combs said in the video. “But it's definitely a 15-year-old's dream.”
“I have been given her custody,” he continued. “He signed with Usher and I got legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album.”
He added: “I don't have legal guardianship of her [Bieber] But for the next 48 hours he's with me, and we're going to be totally crazy.”
In another recently resurfaced video, the “Peaches” singer is seen talking about “protecting” Billie Eilish from the music industry.
Bieber shared his feelings for Eilish, 22, while speaking with Apple Music's Zane Lowe ahead of the release of his album “Change” in 2020.
The pop star tearfully told PEOPLE about her own experiences in the music industry as a young artist. After a rapid rise to stardom at the age of just 14, he was signed to Usher's label in 2008.
Bieber explained, “It was hard for me being young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they love me and turning their backs on you in a second.” “I just want to protect her,” the hitmaker added of Hilsa, who was 18 at the time.
“I don't want her to go through what I went through. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.”
Speaking about his personal struggles that came into the public eye as he got older, Bieber revealed that at times “it was bad … it was dark.”
“Think about how young and glamorous I was and all of you telling me how great I am all the time,” she shared. “I just want people to understand the psychology of why I have problems in my life.”
Bieber also admitted that he's “living in this shame” about “that kind of stuff with my past.”
And when it comes to Hilsa, the performer hopes she can be “a good example” for him.
“If he ever needs me I'll be here for him. I'm just a call away.”
Several past videos of Diddy and the lavish parties he has thrown since his September 16 arrest have resurfaced. A few days after the news, a “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” clip went viral in which Khloé Kardashian recalled running into Bieber at one of the Combs – List parties in 2014, saying that “half the guests were naked.”
In an unsealed indictment against Diddy, federal prosecutors allege the hip-hop artist hosted “freak off” parties where women were lured and forced to engage in sexual performances with male sex workers.
Allegations were recorded of supplying combs with ingredients to blackmail the gangs and force their victims.
Combs has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for engaging in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is currently in custody at a New York federal detention facility awaiting trial.
Bieber, for his part, isn't focusing on his old friend's controversy after welcoming son Jack Blues with wife Hailey Bieber.
“He is aware of Diddy's arrest and all the allegations,” an insider recently told PEOPLE. “That's not something she wants to focus on, though.”
