Score, 'Highlights from SNF Week 3
A potential AFC Championship Game preview will be headed your way Sunday night.
The Week 4 “Sunday Night Football” matchup pits the Buffalo Bills against the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are off to an interesting start to their 2024 season.
Josh Allen looks as good as Josh Allen in the NFL: The Bills passer leads the MVP charge behind a 75% completion rate, seven passing touchdowns and a 133.7 passer rating this season.
It just hasn't been the same offensive success for the Ravens. Lamar Jackson has three touchdown passes in his first three games to pair with a lone rushing touchdown. The Ravens sit at 1-2 on the season and escape Dallas with a win in Week 3, a potential course correction after their 0-2 start.
The battle for superstar QBs begins in Week 4. USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more from the Week 4 “Sunday Night Football” matchup.

Why was Lamar Jackson drafted?
There was one notable statistic that stood out as a potential problem for Jackson. He completed just 59.1 percent of his passes in his final college season and 57 percent overall for his college career. It's rare for quarterbacks to significantly improve their accuracy and skill at the NFL level, so Jackson's “tendency to miss simple throws,” as NFL.com's Lance Zierlein put it, was a concern of some talent evaluators.
That's why a select few — like former Indianapolis Colts general manager and ESPN talent Bill Polian — argued that Jackson should move to receiver at the NFL level.
Few disagreed with Polian, though, as Jackson revealed on one of the Ravens' podcasts that the Los Angeles Chargers had asked him to work as a receiver at the 2018 NFL Combine.
How Josh Allen's new approach is keeping the Bills rolling
The makeover of the Bills' receiver corps, without the free agency departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, underscores Josh Allen's growth in a diverse offense. Sure, third-year supporter Khalil Shaqir, a Blazer who stretches the field, is stepping up. Shaqir was targeted 14 times and made 14 catches. Yet balance has been the ticket for Allen.
“I think he's spreading the ball more,” Ravens defensive coordinator Zach Orr told reporters this week. “You don't really know where the ball is going. All of his receivers are responsible for getting the ball in any situation at any time – including running backs and tight ends.”
How is Josh Allen doing it?
Chris Collinsworth is staying at NBC, signing a contract extension
The number one team on NBC's Sunday Night Football will remain intact, at least for the foreseeable future.
According to a report from The Athletic, NBC Sports is close to a new four-year contract extension with top analyst Chris Collinsworth. The extension will keep him with the network through the 2029-30 season. His current deal runs through the 2026 season.
NBC will broadcast two more Super Bowls over the next six years, with Super Bowl 60 in 2026 and Super Bowl 64 in 2030.
Collinsworth, 65, who has won seven Emmy Awards for outstanding sports studio analyst, earns about $12.5 million a year and teams with Mike Tirico to call the games.
