Taylor Swift's Instagram call for voter registration drove more than 400,000 visitors to the vote.gov website in 24 hours.
The pop superstar, 34, posted a custom URL on her Instagram Stories shortly after endorsing Kamala Harris in the upcoming November presidential election.

He wrote: “Recently I was made aware that an AI of 'I' falsely endorsing Donald Trump's presidential run was posted on his site.
“It really raised my fears about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation.
“This brings me to the conclusion that as a voter I need to be very transparent about my real plans for this election. The easiest way to combat misinformation is with truth.”
He added: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.”
Swift also used her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards to urge viewers to register to vote.
