NFL News Update: Steelers 2-0 with Cooper Kupp, Isiah Pacheco injured Sunday, Justin Fields and lazy passing game

With nine 2-0 teams standing after Sunday's action, Philadelphia has a chance to reach that mark Monday night against Atlanta. At the top of the pile are the Saints, who can't stop scoring, and the defending champion Chiefs, who beat another AFC contender in the last game of the game. Kansas City, however, lost Isiah Pacheco for the game and his ankle injury, along with Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp's ankle injury, headline Sunday's biggest injuries in Week 2.

The Chiefs are 2-0 and they did it the hard way, beating the Ravens toe-to-toe in the first night and Harrison Butker walking off a 51-yard field goal in Week 2, but the win against Cincinnati may be over. More on what Kansas City lost in that game.

After 19 carries for 90 yards, and five catches for 21 more yards, head coach Andy Reid waived Pacheco with an ankle injury.

On Sunday evening, ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported that Pacheco left the stadium on crutches and in a walking boot, with further tests to be done on Monday.

The Rams could be in some big trouble at the wide receiver position after Sunday's blowout loss to the Cardinals with Cooper Kupp suffering an ankle injury. Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Kupp will be out “for an extended period of time.” It's unclear if he'll land on injured reserve or how long he'll be sidelined.

Losing Kupp for any length of time, however, would be a major blow with Puka Nacua already expected to miss 5-7 weeks with a PCL injury.

They don't count how you win in the standings and the truth is the Steelers are 2-0, Pittsburgh didn't get much out of the passing game. Justin Fields has been efficient, if unspectacular, completing nearly 70% of his passes, but for just 273 yards through two games. The best news may be that he didn't throw an interception, but how long will Pittsburgh be able to score just 15.5 points per game? They are the only 2-0 team averaging fewer than 24 points per game.
