'Shogun' won the first non-English language drama Emmy
FX's sweeping historical drama “Shogun” was already riding high with a record-breaking win when the Emmys kicked off Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Last weekend, “Shogun” swept the Creative Arts Emmys, claiming 14 awards and making history by setting the record for the most Emmy wins by a show in one year. The previous record holder was “Game of Thrones” with 12 wins in 2015.
