Taylor Swift supports Travis Kelce at Chiefs game after Kamala Harris endorsement
Despite finding herself in the middle of a heated political showdown this weekend, Taylor Swift seems unconcerned.
The 14x Grammy winner donned an oversized Kansas City Chiefs jersey as she supported die-hard boyfriend Travis Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, where the team took on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Her appearance at the game came just hours after former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, “I hate Taylor Swift!”
Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign responded with a statement that included several lyrical references. Persecuted poets category the artist
“Voters know all too well how dangerous Trump and his Project 2025 agenda will be if he wins. This November, we can make sure it's the last time we tackle his end game of taxing the middle class and stripping Americans of their freedoms. Together, We can turn the page on the Trump era and write a new chapter where all Americans can breathe easy knowing that we have strong, steady leadership at the helm. We can ensure The Story of Us is one of progress—and show Donald Trump that we are 2020 Not going back in December.
Swift previously announced her support for Harris and running mate Tim Walz on Instagram following the Democratic nominee's debate with Trump on Tuesday. In doing so, he drove more than 400,000 potential voters to the registration site.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” he wrote. “I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for rights and because I believe they need a fighter to champion,” added Swift. “I think she's a steady, gifted leader and I believe we can achieve a lot more in this country if we're led calmly and not in chaos.”
Trump called later Fox and Friends September 11 to share his response. “I wasn't a Taylor Swift fan,” he said. Noting that Swift's fellow Chiefs SO, Britney Mahomes, is “a big mega fan,” Trump added, “That's what I like more than Taylor Swift.”
