Lily Allen says her photos of fans' feet alone make more money than Spotify streams: 'Don't hate the player, hate the game'
Singer Lily Allen has revealed that she makes more money every month just by selling pictures of her feet to fans through her Spotify streams.
Allen started her Only Fans account over the summer after her pedicurist told her she had beautiful feet and could make some money off them, she revealed on an episode of her podcast “Miss Me.” She shared that she has a perfect five-star rating on WikiFeet, the foot fetish website that collects and rates pictures of celebrity feet.
After posting a photo of her feet and a link to her OnlyFans account on X (previously Twitter), Allen responded to a person who criticized her by saying, “Imagine being one of the biggest pop stars/musicians in Europe and then being reduced to it.”
Allen clapped back, writing, “Imagine being an artist and having about 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify but 1,000 people subscribing to pictures of your feet making more money. Don't hate the player, hate the game.”
The singer charges $10 per month to her OnlyFans account, which could amount to at least $10,000 monthly based on her subscriber count. In comparison, he currently has 7.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, which pays artists about $.003 and $.005 per stream.
Known as a fan-friendly creator platform, OnlyFan has paid more than $20 billion to content creators since its launch eight years ago. CEO Kiley Blair recently spoke at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in LA about how the platform offers more than just sexual content.
“Everyone assumes it's sexy content. some of it is Sexy content — and we're very happy about that, we're an inclusive platform, and we're that way for a reason,” he said. “We believe it's important for adult content creators to have a safe space, to be able to monetize, and to be able to do it alongside other content creators. It's very important to be able to.”
