Lady Gaga Diagnoses Her Pop Music Return With New 'Disease' Single: Stream It Now
Seven years after offering a “cure,” Lady Gaga is finally getting a “disease” diagnosis.
After some sly teasing via a Spotify playlist and a pair of custom websites, Gaga finally confirmed the single's release date via Instagram on Monday (October 21). In the post, the Grammy and Oscar winner shared the single's cover art, in which she poses face-down on the hood of a white car with the song's title written upside down in street paint. The next day (October 22), he shared a short teaser of what appears to be the song's official music video, which is soundtracked by Piano Keys. “I could play doctor/ I could cure your diseases/ If you were a sinner/ I could make you believe,” he crooned on the lead single for his eighth solo studio album.
Gaga has been very musically active in 2024. In August, he teamed up with Bruno Mars for the song “Die With a Smile” which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Global 200. The following month, Pop Icon launched HarlequinA companion soundtrack album for Joker: Folie à Deuxwhere she stars as Harley Quinn alongside Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix.
