Nicole Scherzinger was texting Liam Payne the day he died: report

Nicole Scherzinger reportedly had an affair with Liam Penn on October 16, the same day he fatally drowned to his death.

According to Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed the music for her Broadway musical “Sunset Blvd.,” the Pussicat Dolls alum, 46, had been texting the One Direction singer, 31, while in Argentina before her sudden death.

“I think something that hasn't been said, and I think I can say, of course he gave Liam advice in one way,” Webber told Billboard in an interview published Thursday. “When he died on Wednesday, he was still texting her that day.”

After learning of Payne's death, Scherzinger still played the role of Norma Desmond in the Broadway production – a move Webber praised her for.

“She just heard that she died,” he explained, “and it's amazing that she even did the show. I mean, she's an amazing, amazing woman. She's without question one of the best performers I've ever worked with.”

The Post reached out to Scherzinger's rep.

The singer was always in Penn's corner.

He was a judge on “The X Factor” when One Direction was created. Resurfaced footage showed that it was Scherzinger, not Simon Cowell, who suggested putting Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Payne on the boys' team rather than allowing them to compete as individuals.

Paine died earlier this month after falling from the third-floor balcony of the Casasur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The boy band alum fractured his skull and died instantly of “very serious injuries,” according to Buenos Aires Emergency Services Chief Alberto Crescenti. He also suffered internal and external bleeding to the skull, thorax, abdomen and extremities, which “contributed to the process of death,” according to the autopsy.

However, Payne had a toxic cocktail of drugs in his system as shown in his initial autopsy report.

According to ABC News, the singer had “pink cocaine,” known as Tusi, — a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine and ecstasy — benzodiazepines, crack and cocaine in her bloodstream.

The hotel was raided Wednesday evening, with law enforcement seizing computer hard drives and hotel surveillance footage, the AP reported.

Police are working overtime to find out who supplied Payne with the drugs and have interviewed several hotel employees.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that police are investigating a theory that an employee may have delivered the drugs to Payne in a Dove soap box that was picked up in his trashed hotel room.

Before his fatal fall, witnesses said the One Direction star was “acting reckless” in the hotel lobby. The facility's manager backed that up in the 911 call, claiming that Payne was “wrecking the whole room” while the singer had a balcony and expressed concern that he might hurt himself.
