Taylor Swift says Sunday night's rain show in Miami is 'very last'

MIAMI – Taylor Swift explained Sunday that Florida is getting the final rain show of the Eras tour.

“So we're obviously doing a very, very special, unique kind of concert tonight, and it's a concert where it rains the whole time,” the “Folklore” singer said inside the cabin, her hair drenched in the rain. “This is what we affectionately refer to as the rain show.”

Fans danced for three-and-a-half hours as the rain fell from drizzle to scattered streams.

“Here's the thing,” Swift said “Tonight, tonight, was probably our last chance to do a rain show on the Eras Tour because every stadium from here on out is indoors.”

Swift will perform in New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver before wrapping up the tour on December 8.

In the Swift community, rain is a good thing

Whenever it rains, Swift calls it a lucky concert. Two notable rain shows on the Eras tour include May 7, 2023 at 3 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn., when severe weather delayed the start of the concert by two hours, and Foxboro, Mass., at 2 a.m. on May 20, 2023. Surprise, Swift was seen in the viral video pushing water off her piano during the acoustic set.

“So Miami, are you ready to dance in the rain with me tonight?” the singer asked Sunday night before playing “Lover” at Hard Rock Stadium. Her straight hair began to curl as the water streamed over the 61,000 participants. “This is our last show in Miami. We really feel, as a concept, we've saved our best performance for last.”

Fans in the crowd repeated “The Best” and excitement spread throughout the arena. Can he make an announcement in Florida?
